First range of lead-free brass cable glands
To *|FNAME|*,
To be successful in the future, it is important to focus on sustainability. The same goes for the right choice of connection solutions for your applications and projects. That is why LAPP are developing sustainable products before being obliged to do so by laws and regulations. From August 2020 onwards, LAPP is the first manufacturer in the world to offer cable glands in a lead-free brass version.
Initially, the most popular LAPP cable glands will be available in the new lead-free version. The first products include the popular SKINTOP® MS-M and MS-SC-M models, as well as the counter nut SKINDICHT® SM-M. Further product groups are gradually being supplemented with lead-free versions.
According to the European Directive RoHS, from July 21 2021, brass will no longer be able to contain any lead. In the REACH chemical regulation, lead is also on the candidate list for “Substances of very high concern”, which could soon be prohibited. Therefore it is important to think ahead and plan for the future today. Kind regards,
