Pressure Sensors: For Industrial Applications

Treotham Automation supplies a wide range of Wenglor sensors throughout Australia. Our state-of-the-art supply chain and local engineering teams have helped us become one of Australia’s leading suppliers of pressure sensors. We have extensive knowledge of sensor products and with our partnership with Wenglor, we are dedicated to improving industry processes and supporting new technologies.

Characteristics of Pressure Sensors

A pressure sensor is a device that measures pressure and converts it into an electrical signal. Pressure sensors are used in a variety of applications, including process monitoring, monitoring and regulating the pressure in filling & compressed air systems, determining the fill level in tank/silo systems, regulating the pressure of aggregates, and monitoring filters.

There are a variety of pressure sensors available through Wenglor, each designed for various applications. Wenglor pressure sensors have integrated analysis modules that measure pressure for hydraulics, pneumatics and process technology. Their weFlux² series, which simultaneously measures pressure and temperature, also has IO-Link. IO-Link allows parameter data to be configured and transmitted.

Pressure Sensor with IO-Link

The FX5P002 is a pressure sensor with IO-Link from Wenglor. It is used to measure the pressure of fluids and gases in industrial applications.

The FX5P002 has a wide range of features that make it ideal for use in industrial applications. It has a high accuracy of +/- 0.1% full scale, a wide operating temperature range of -40 to 85°C, and a pressure range of 0 to 10 bar. The sensor also has an IO-Link interface that allows it to be connected to a PLC or other control system.

The FX5P002 can be used in a variety of industrial applications where accurate pressure measurement is required. These include process control, quality assurance, and safety systems. The sensor can also be used in automotive applications such as tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS).

Applications of Pressure Sensors

Industrial pressure sensors are used in a variety of applications, including:

  • Automotive: monitoring engine performance, fuel efficiency and emissions
  • HVAC: detecting and regulating airflow and temperature
  • Medical: measuring blood pressure, respiration and heart rate
  • Manufacturing: quality control, process monitoring and robotic automation
  • Aerospace: aircraft flight control and navigation
